Essentially, HD works by using more than four times as many pixels to create a picture compared to normal TV. This gives incredible clarity to images, with edges and lines looking more distinct. HD also uses millions more colours than normal TV, increasing the richness and intensity of everything you watch. And because many HD programmes are made with cinema-style surround sound, you can experience this in full with a compatible surround sound system.
To watch HD programmes you need:
- HD Ready TV
- HD PVR Box
- Subscription to UK TV with Extra charge for HD £10 per month
HD Also works as a Plus box and lets you watch your programmes at a time to suit you. The twin tuners and hard drive work seamlessly to make recording and play back simple the series link feature means you never need miss an episode of your favourite programs again.
The HD box costs €350 Euro (Dish and Installation not included) and will need to be connected to a twin universal LNB on a dish pointing at 28 East. If you live in the Geneva or bordering French region you can call in to "Jim's British Minimarket" to buy the dish and LNB. For the south of France from Monaco to St. Tropez our local installers will supply and install a dish. For all other areas please see your local satellite installer for advice on dish size and installation.
Subscription
£18 to £48 according to package selected. Plus a Extra £10 per month for HD subsciption.
UK Support
This is an annual fee charged by our UK Support team. It is compulsory if you purchase a system from HAS Europe. The cost is 100 Euro per annum. This provides you with UK support for the UK TV viewing card.
UK Support is a very important part of your digital setup. As our UK team are ready to deal with any problems relating to your UK TV subscription account problems, such as changes to viewing packages, payment method, changes and faulty viewing cards. The UK Support team are available 365 days a year. This services does not cover any out of warranty callout/repair costs.
